But many authors are driven by the wind of change and fashion. The tragedy of our society is strongly bound to the lost of spiritual guide-marks. If for artists the styles are succeeding, in iconography, in exchange, any durable and solid creation is conditioned by the spiritual life. Christ is the Stone from the head of the corner Who saves the Church, and hence the iconographer’s need to stay anchored in this tradition by means of which he escapes from the whims of time. The Holy Spirit, the Spring of life, creates again and renew everything, so that each icon painted according to Tradition should reveal a new breath. The icon manifests here and now the presence of the resurrected Christ and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
