The Life and Wonders of St. Kuksha of Odessa
Translation from Russian by Gheorghita Ciocioi
Second edition
A Moldavian establishment – set on high ground, above the Black Sea – the Assumption Monastery on the outskirts of Odessa holds a valuable treasure: the relics of the Righteous Saint Kuksha of Odessa, the seer and swift healer.
Saint Kuksha lived for a long time in Mount Athos, then in the Holy Land and the Pechersk Lavra; for ten other years, he knew the “ascetic struggles” of Soviet concentration camps. The present book depicts the life and wonders worked by a saint venerated by Orthodox worshippers across the entire Russia, Ukraine, as well as Bessarabia, as St. Kushka frequently met Bessarabian monks or lay people during his lifetime.
