The lack o space compels me to limit myself almost entirely to the ancient period (IV-V cent.). Though this doesn?t mean that a give less concern to the late development to this teaching, or I attach less value to it. The theological part of the problem does not enter directly in my matter, because it has, first of all, a spiritual character, though the separation of spiritual matters of the theological ones is often impossible to make.
