This text is a simple help based upon the Gospel word and the Holy Fathers? teaching and experience. The first section of the book contains a short set of questions and represents a basic Orthodox catechism based upon the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God Himself. These commandments synthesize the Divine Law. The second section deals with the conditions of a good confession and it contains some of Saint Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain?s commentaries and explanations on the Sacrament of Confession taken from his Confession Manual. The third section refers to the contemporary state of the world. We wish that this book together with the other valuable books that deal with the same subject should be of real help both to the brothers from monasteries and to our beloved brothers who live in the world and strive themselves for salvation and for a more conscious approach to the Sacrament of Confession.
